You have many options for at-home STD testing. The best at-home STD tests are FDA approved and evaluated for safety and accuracy with fast result turnaround times and support from health care professionals.

Florida DOH’s Health District Center offers low-cost STD screening and treatment for hepatitis B/C, syphilis, herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea; PrEP services; and hepatitis A/B vaccines. You may qualify for free or reduced-cost services, but you won’t be denied if you can’t pay. Anyone who resides in or visits Miami-Dade County, aged 13 or older, can request services. Appointments and limited walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; it closes at noon on the first and third Fridays.

You need an appointment to receive STD services at JTCHS’ Flamingo Center, including chlamydia, herpes, syphilis, and gonorrhea testing. You can also get rapid HIV testing and referrals to HIV/AIDS case management. Most of the clinic’s physicians are bilingual, and it offers courtesy transportation. It accepts private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. If you’re not insured, it has a sliding fee scale with financial advisors available to help you. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Planned Parenthood’s Golden Glades-Miami Health Center provides confidential HIV testing and herpes, chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea testing and treatment. Services are available in English, Spanish, and ASL on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. You should make an appointment, but walk-ins are accepted if time allows.
